IYPT ("us", "we", or "our") operates https://cc.iypt.org (the "Site"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive. Our terms of service are a legal contract between a user of this website (henceforth denoted "you") and the association International Young Physicists' Tournament (henceforth denoted "IYPT"). Please note that you are required to accept our terms and to provide your data in order to participate.

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

For logging into the system, we use a cookie to associate you to your session.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

The data flow diagram visualises the possible path of personally identifiable information (PII) on a very high level. Only parties with a well specified use-case which is vital to the realisation of the tournament will have access to the information they need.

By providing any data, including pictures and other uploads, to this site, you agree that this data may be used by IYPT and its member organizations for the organization and promotion of its annual physics world cup. Data including your name, function, team, photo and tournament you participated in may be published by IYPT. You warrant that all the data you provide is correct and does not infringe upon the rights of any third parties.

If you have elevated access rights, such as, but not limited to, managing groups or tournaments, you agree that you will use any data that you have access to solely for purposes required to smoothly organize the annual IYPT physics world cup competition.

Any action that infriges the rights of (other) users of this site, or compromises the normal operation of this site is strictly forbidden.

The IYPT can update these terms of service at any time. The IYPT will notify you of any update via the email address that you provide in your user profile. Unless you object to the update (in writing) within four weeks, the update takes effect. This text was last modified on January 11, 2018.
